Email, Message or SMS failure alert/pop up
Notify users when any emails, messages or SMS fail rather than having to go and check a list. Perhaps an alert at the top of the page which then produces a list of what needs to be checked. The impact of missing this information is huge, particularly with compliance.
Hi User Voice Supporters! We're currently setting requirements with the development team for Failed Communication Notifications and are after some feedback to ensure we get the right notifications to you and your team.
Would you prefer, an In-App (in Property Tree) notification, that alerted you each time a communication failed?
Or, would you prefer to receive an email each time a communication failed? (similar to an outlook or gmail bounce-back).
In the case of receiving an email, if you are using the Communication Platform where your email replies are received into Property Tree, would you prefer this failed email notification to be received into the Communication Platform inbox, assigned to you (or the company, if the email was sent from the company)? Or would you prefer this email to be sent to your external email each time an email failed to send? If you are not using the Communication Platform, this email would be received externally by default.
Is an email per failure too many emails to receive? Would you rather a summary once a day that outlines the failed communications for that period?
Let us know your preference(s) by commenting on this idea. We look forward to hearing from you.

Email for each failure

Great that this is being considered, our team would strongly prefer to receive a notification email each time a communication has failed. We believe it would be very unlikely that this would result in an inbox being clogged.

One email summary each day would be beneficial. An email everytime could clog inboxes and become challenging to manage - this would be supported if it could be arranged to go to the manager of that profile it belonged to so they can review and action thier own etc.

An email be sent to the external email each time after sending an email as this could be due to a work order, routine inspection booking email, etc.
Receiving a summary will cause a delay in not knowing the communication hasn't gone through. Thank you. -

Would love to have any type of notification, as it has been quite 'egg on your face' when tenants or owners say they never received something. Then you look at the communications and see "Failed"... not great. An email would be good as you would not have to go searching for a notification within the communications, plus it would fill up so quickly other communications may get lost amongst things. Thanks for considering this, it would be hugely helpful.

Would prefer an email to external inbox as we don't use the inbox within PT. And one email per failure would be bestin case of anything time sensitive that can't wait until end of day.

This is great its finally being looked into. We dont use the email communication in PT so our preference would to receive it to our external email each time - we also are in our inbox daily so it is likely to be seen and actioned quicker then if its in PT (For our office anyways) Email per email failure same day would be best as we do send vacate notices, rent increases etc from PT and they are time sensitive.

So happy this is being looked into! An in-app/browser notification would be most useful to keep everything in the same place and not flood inboxes (which are already hectic) with unnecessary messages. Some sort of band that pops up at the top or centre of the page each time a message fails which is easy to notice would be awesome... (maybe in red so that you can't miss it even at a glance!)

Definitely still an ongoing issue, we had a tenant unaware of an inspection due to an entry notice email delivery failure.
We need an alert when this happens, just like an email client would generate. It’s not practical to check that every entry notice or important communication has been delivered. -

If a work order fails to send PMs need an alert. We've a tradesman where all communications have failed for 3weeks & we were not aware.

Definitely need an alert - we've got a lot that have just started to fail - apparently due to recipients blocked sender settings.

Need this asap to be sent an email if the email fails when entry is required.

Would be good to receive an alert/notification if a rent receipt/work order or any email has a failed delivery status. Some tenants and tradespeople have recently stopped receiving emails to which we are unaware and would be time consuming to check every receipt/work order etc.

I would like to see a pop-up window or automated email sent to the user when communications sent through PT are undelivered/failed. At the moment, the only way to know is to consciously make the effort to go to communication tab and check the status. It is highly impractical, not to mention that we don't have time to check whether every email was delivered correctly- we assume it was. This creates problems especially when it come to highly important emails and can have dire consequences.

If an email has failed due to incorrect email or going to spam inbox, Property Tree should notify the property manager that the email has failed so we can take further action or look into further.

If there is a failed message suppose to send out to renter or rental provider successfully, can PT notify the sender/PM that the message is failed to take further actions

Would really love an alert of some kind when communications are not successfully delivered. Mail merge is great but having to check after sending every communication send out contradicts the streamlining of this process.
