New Column on Tenancy Ledger to show Number of Days and Amount of Arrears

Rather than having to go through a tenant's ledger with them, it would be handy for tenants to have the number of days and amount of arrears displayed on the tenancy ledger, also perfect for property managers processing tenancy applications with ledgers from other agents using Property Tree. No need to go through every transaction in the ledgers if these are displayed, makes life easier.

Hi Supporters, we appreciate your feedback on this suggestion. As the current Tenancy Ledger holds so much important information, we are scoping out a new rent arrears ledger option that will give you the information required in a clear simple format, making it easy to see/explain rental payments and arrears. Rest assured, this suggestion is of importance to us.

    Hi Angela, From our perspective just the amount of arrears recorded at the time of receipt would be fine but if there is a days column as well it wouldn't hurt. Thanks for looking in to this :)

    This would be fantastic to show the effective arrears on each payment/invoice line on the ledger so that it is easy for the tenant to immediately see when they have been in arrears for the whole of the tenancy even though they deny it. It would also be good to show it as a negative if they are always in front with their rent. At the moment, when I try to explain to people that they are behind with their rent, they don't understand the "part payment" column so if I can just say 2 days @ $50/day (or whatever) and it clearly shows that on their ledger then they can get themselves up to date

    The arrears column would be great! It would be good to simplify the ledger and remove the payer / who receipted the money from the ledger.
    This could be kept in the transaction history but would make the ledger easier to read.

    If possible, it might be handy to leave the balance column.
    If the arrears could be after that or have it underneath as a new row.

    I would also suggest showing the arrears on the rent receipts for the tenants to see that they are paying behind.

    Yes - we highly vote for this!! I do feel that the MRI Property Tree ledgers have ALOT of unnecessary coloumns and it could be simplified, but this is a column that would make them easier to read.

    Please create an arrears column in the tenancy ledger!! Other software on the market has this column and it shows how many days in arrears and when. It is next to the balance column. It makes everything so much easier, makes so much sense, allows you to see exactly how many days tenants are in arrears and when they fell into them, and provides more clarity for them on when it happened promoting them to rectify this. Property tree would be perfect if it had an arrears column in the ledger!

    The tenancy ledger should have a "current rental balance" column - to show what the actual balance is, at the time of each payment (whether they still owe rent, or are in credit).

    By adding a category of 'days in arrears' on the tenancy ledgers, you can clearly see how many days the tenant is behind without going through each payment, line by line.

    Have an arrears column on the ledger to show how many days of arrears the tenant have been in or were. like property me ledgers

    Ability to show the number of days in arrears when payment was made, and how much was due/due date. On the ledger would be beneficial as there is no need for the debit/credit/balance column, only one column is needed to record what has been paid
