Option to have Owner/Tenant Portals active but turn off portal messaging
Option to have Owner/Tenant Portals active so our clients can login and see information but have the option to turn off portal messaging. Owners/Tenants would just email as normal. There's alot of limitations to the Portal messages inbox. We want to use the portals but would prefer not to use Portal messages.
We're pleased to announce that all emails sent to your Portal Contacts will be sent as emails, and those contacts can reply to your emails! No more having to login to the Portals to reply! If you are using the communication platform, then those replies will come into your Property Tree inbox. If you aren't using the Communications Platform, then those replies will go to your external email inbox. You will still be able to send a Portal message if needed, as will your Portal contacts, however the amount of portal messages will decrease as the primary form of communication is now emails.

Totally agree!!
1. Definitely not great having to look in two places when referring to communication history.
2. It wouldn't be better if a copy of the portal communication was still logged under the Communication tab in the Tenant/Owner profiles.
3. Not great introducing the portals to Owners & Tenants with this feature but then recommending that they don't use the portal for communication. -

Agree, This is just causing added work especially when there are 2 people working on the same porfolio and we are unable to both reply directly to portal messages. A way to just turn the message section off would be great!

This would be great as it's an additional place to have to look for communication. Also when going back and looking for communication as they have two different places.

This is VERY IMPORTANT! Having messages in 2 sections and the portal messages not being stored in communications causes added workload.

We would love to see this! The portal messages are very hard to manage and we find that some owners/tenants try to reply and find that the message is not sent at a later date.

We have just closed the portals for this reason, if all messages could go through the communication platform and portal used to login for information and downloads the system would work so much better.

This would be SO much more flexible as a this is causing the use of portals to not be taken up because of there being no ability to disable portal messaging. Portal messaging is very isolated and restrictive form of communication currently and it also is not transparent anywhere on the owner/tenant profiles.

Ability to turn off portal communication for tenants and owners enrolled in portal so we don't have so many different communication methods
