Documents Names being less restrictive
When adding documents to emails and documents tab under the the system has a very high level of requirements for file names. Only letters or numbers are accepted. Your not allowed any other characters such as commas, dash or any type of other punctuation. Surely this can be less strict considering most file names have full addresses and other items in file names.
We're pleased to advise that you can now save files with certain special characters (i.e. hyphen, full stop, underscore...) and with up to 120 characters in the file name.

When adding a REINSW lease agreement to tenant profile , you first need to revise document so that no comma's exist eg 36 Smith Street Cammeray, NSW . The comma after Cammeray needs to be removed otherwise document can't be added
Can this be looked at so that this step is not necessary? -

This was first raised that I can see in 2023, why is this not being prioritized? This wastes valuable time that we could be utilizing elsewhere. It's clearly an issue for numerous paying customers and we would like this fixed!

Yes - MRI please can this be fast tracked. It has a seriously large impact on entering large numbers of invoices. it makes it far more labour intensive & creates an un-necassry waste of valuable time. Please can you update us on when this will be implemented ? Thank you

This would be a very helpful update - entering invoices becomes very time consuming due to it being very specific on symbols being used in the document name, when the majority of our contractors send their invoices through with the characters as produced by their invoicing software.

Any updates on when this will progress to the next stage. It is very time consuming to save an invoice, re-name it & then dragging it into property tree to process one invoice. If it allows special characters, it would speed up the process.

Agreed. Having to drag & drop an invoice somewhere, then rename it, then drag & drop into PT - is very annoying & time consuming. Everyone is busy & time is precious. Please can this be fixed asap. thanks

will not allow us to enter invoices or documents with certain special characters and all have to be renamed. but allows it in other parts of the system eg. compliance register.

Yes this is so important, especially when transferring files from an email or authorities when doing creditor runs. At the moment files that contain special characters need to be downloaded, renamed and then uploaded which is extremely time consuming.

Agree, we regularly have to rename invoices before attaching. Many of our strata invoices contain the & symbol, and two of our creditors' invoices contain # in the file name.

It would be so much more time efficient if attaching invoice didn't alert you there was incorrect characters in the name of the attachment.
Can this be fixed so that it accepts all attachments please. Lots of contractors use the same software so we are now having this problem across the board.
Thank you! Would be forever greatful!
