Currently the file name does accept using a dash, full stop and underscore however does not allow for commas. We are discussing this with our development team

Documents Names being less restrictive
When adding documents to emails and documents tab under the the system has a very high level of requirements for file names. Only letters or numbers are accepted. Your not allowed any other characters such as commas, dash or any type of other punctuation. Surely this can be less strict considering most file names have full addresses and other items in file names.Kaitlyn Schepisi supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kaitlyn Schepisi commentedyes pls - making it really hard to schedule virtuals as the renters get confused by the normal auto comms. only way around it is to set up templates based on proposed and put in in that status - but there is no way to trigger a notificiation of the upcominh routine to the owner if the routine is in the proposed status. weird that it allows us for the renter but not owner.

We're currently looking into a solution for this, to enable you to select a file(s) from document management and initiate an ad hoc email.

Update: Additional fields have been added to the ‘Status’ drop-down under Communications History to give you more details on email delivery status, this is available to you now. We are continuing to investigate other areas to better notify you of any sending failures.

will not allow us to enter invoices or documents with certain special characters and all have to be renamed. but allows it in other parts of the system eg. compliance register.
