Have a periodic lease button to remove from expired lease page
Once a lease has expired and rolled into a periodic lease we don't want the tenant to appear on the expired leases. We want to mark the tenancy lease as periodic and keep the lease end date entered as a record that there was a fixed term lease previously.
We're currently finalising the details of this request with our development team, we'll let you know once it goes into Development.

Currently, once a fixed term lease expires and the owner has instructed for the tenancy to continue on a periodic basis, there is no effective way to distinguish this from a tenancy that has an outstanding lease renewal requiring action.
This makes the Expired Leases page inaccurate as a workflow and reporting tool. Our team has to repeatedly review tenancies that require no further action simply because they continue to appear as expired.
A “Mark as Periodic” option would allow us to retain the original fixed term lease end date for historical records, while removing confirmed periodic tenancies from the outstanding expired/renewal list.
This would provide a much clearer and more accurate view of:
leases genuinely requiring renewal action;
leases where the owner has instructed periodic continuation; and
the team's actual outstanding workload. For agencies managing large portfolios, this would significantly improve lease renewal reporting, efficiency and accountability. Please consider prioritising this improvement.

This is the only way to accurately gauge how many lease renewals are outstanding. If an owner instructs us not to renew the lease, then we can't move this along and our reporting remains inaccurate

Agree with the below - This idea was posted in 2023, and still hasn't been actioned.
A way to distinguish from expired leases to agreed periodic would be beneficial.

This update is absolutely crucial for our workflow. Right now, it’s extremely difficult to distinguish between lease renewals that are due and those that have already been approved to move to periodic, which is causing unnecessary confusion and slowing down our processes.
Could you please prioritise updating this in PT and move it up the list of scheduled improvements?
It would also be incredibly helpful if this information could be added to the Tenancy Card, so it’s immediately visible and clear to anyone viewing the tenancy.
Thanks so much—this change will make a significant difference to daily operations.

Please create this update it would be excellent to have a true reflection on what leases are expired.

Agree with the below :) This would better reflect the outstanding lease renewals that need to be actioned.

This is so important to know that our numbers of overdue lease renewals is actually reflective of our owners wishes. Having leases approved as periodic, in our mix of overdue lease renewals, makes it very hard to see workloads as well as ensure we are fulfilling our owners wishes. Also an ex-Property Me user, so naturally our team have come to rely on this feature.

Thanks for submitting this request, I'm gobsmacked this has not been implemented, it has 116 votes and was requested nearly 3 years ago. I would think this would be so simple to add. I'm coming from Propertyme and Propertyme has a tick box to select and then it disappears from view. It's so frustrating trying to check which leases need reviewing and which ones are approved periodic. Now owners are unable to issue a termination for end of lease for no grounds there is likely to be more and more approved periodic leases. Also impossible for us to use the numbers from the dashboard as an overview as to how many lease renewals are required.

To have periodic lease option in the system so that it can show whether it's fixed tern or periodic or short term lease

Yes - this, if an owner/tenant agree to a periodical agreement for whatever reason the property remains on expired leases section and reports, there needs to be a button to tick for periodical leases and a separate report for properties listed as such.

Absolutely this would be great so records are showing correctly

we should have something to have to advise that a property is on month to month as per other systems.
