  1. I want to send instant messages as a text message if needed to all employees. If something is an emergency staff will see it more readily if it comes through as a text message rather than an app notification. I want to choose if it goes as an SMS to all (e.g. an emergency notice) or app notification (non urgent message)

    Could you confirm if your employees are signing in using OnLocation Mobile to select their workspaces?

    Kiosks can be linked to specific zones, which would limit the workspaces available when signing in.

  3. We're a 4-site, 3-shift operation, Monday - Friday, in addition to having a 3-day, 12 hour weekend shift that operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We really need to have a way to input employees into shifts per location, because obviously, signing everyone out at 5:00 pm doesn't work because On Evac is never going to be able to provide an accurate count as to who's on-site and who's not.

  4. We have staff who act in roles at different locations who have an "end" date. It would be useful to be able to enter a date when the employee needs to move to a new location or return to their substantive location.

    In the meantime, as a workaround you can setup these employees as Contractors and use temporary location access in the organisation page on their profile.

  5. Background:
    In Europe all companies will be met by a new legislation that will impose the duty to digitally register the total amount of work time for ANY emplyee, month by month.

    This will open a brand new market to us. Not just in DK, but all over Europe actually. I have JUST met with a new potential customer that REALLY want to do business with us, but one tine thing is missing in ONL, to make it comply with this legislation.

    In the law it is stated that ANY employee MUST be able to access the registred data somehow.…

    Hello Martin, thank you for the submission.


    This is a great idea. We do have this in our roadmap however its scheduling is still a work in progress In essence our plan is to support a user being able to see a summary of their own 'time on site' for the last day, week, month, year. We plan on making these insights available via the mobile app (OnLocation Mobile) and via their dashboard if they login via desktop browser.


    Note; OnLocation Mobile is a free mobile app for your employees and we support iOS and Android). I will leave your idea open even though its in the roadmap as other users may wish to contribute to your idea.

  6. Would be good to be able to archive workers that have left the Organisation. We still require information, but do not want inductions sent or for them to be able to log on. Contractors would be the same.

  7. Whenever an employee has been to a Location (school), they would be required to register their e-mail address in their WOL system, but it won't allow the same e-mail to be registered in another Location. This scenario happens between schools because many teachers work in more than one school using the same Department of Education e-mail address.

    In my point of view, the duplication should be restricted by Location and not the whole system. The kiosk has a Location on its data, that should be enough to find which Location the sign-in is really happening.

    Thank you for your submission. We implemented single use email rules from day one in 2012 as part of best practise security however; we recognise today that in some use cases like yours this creates limitations.


    We do have a solution with the recent release of the Custom Communities feature whereby each school can setup a Custom Community e.g 'Roaming Teachers' (distinct from say standard Employees who only work at that school). You then add those roaming teachers (that also work for other schools) to this new community as members. Next you add that 'Roaming Teachers' community to the sign-in kiosk options. When a teacher goes to sign in to your school using a Kiosk, QR Code or are signed in by an operator, they can select from 'Visitor', 'Contractor', 'Employee', or 'Roaming Teacher'. When selecting 'Roaming Teacher' they can be taken through a unique sign-in workflow.

  8. If there is a click button in sign In/Out Manager for the admin person to send out an reminder to all staff who have not signed in or signed out that would be great and for this an option to put their on site days and times while creating their profile is required.

  10. Our reception team use OnLocation to monitor who is on site or working remotely. It would be useful to have the ability for employees to add a note via the app which shows on the dashboard. For example 'Working from home', 'At a conference in Wellington', Annual Leave until 12 January' etc - which is visible as an optional column in the Sign In/Out Manager section.

  11. Currently, the logs available for our Employees SyncPortal show only the last 10 executions. Sometimes when we need to investigate something wrong, it would be useful to have access to older executions.

  12. Accessibility Options:

    One example: Audio confirmation of sign in/out

    With the Kiosk, is it possible to add audio confirmation stating the new status of the person who just signed in/out? The new status does show on screen highlighted in green or red, but might be even more helpful for some people to play audio as well.

    Sometimes employees forget to sign in/out, and then the next time they try to sign in/out eg go out to lunch, they think they might be signed in/out but the status was actually the oppostite. If they aren't paying attention or visually impaired they…

  13. Make employee questions by Department so that different selections (such as host, zone, working along) can be made by department.

    For example, employees from Department A are required to select Host, work Zone/Area, and whether they are working alone; whereas employees from Department B are only required to select Zone/Area and whether they are working alone.
