Create Receipt screen to display the Rent Increase under "Allocate Funds To" section with the New Amount
Can the Create Receipt screen be improved so that the New Rent amount is reflected in the "Allocate Funds To" section (in addition to where it's currently showing at the top of the screen)?
Suppose the Rent Increase has been added into the Rent Schedule already a few months back and the New Rent amount was $400/week effective from 16/03/2023. Now let's say for example the tenant's Paid to Date is 15/03/2023 with $0 Part Payment and their previous old rate of rent was $360/week.
So when you go to the Create Receipt screen and enter the next rent payment received from the tenant, the only prompt on this screen that the rent has increased to $400/week is at the top of the screen just below the tenant's name and Tenancy ID. It is not reflected in the bottom section under "Allocate Funds To" heading. The amount displayed in the "Allocate Funds To" section is old rate of $360/week with Paid to Date 15/03/2023 which is misleading for the person receipting the money. It miscommunicates to the user into thinking that they should receipt $360 to rent and $40 to Hold for Tenancy when the tenant paid $400 into the Trust Account, because they wish to avoid any "Part Payment" amounts on the Tenancy Ledger. After the receipt is entered, do they realise by looking at the Tenancy Ledger that they should have receipted $400 all to Rent instead and have to reverse the receipt to correct the problem. After this receipt is re-entered as $400 Rent is the Paid to Date reflected as 22/03/2023.
The subsequent Create Receipt screens does not cause this dilemma re: "New Rent: $400/week" displaying at the top and old rent $360/week at the bottom. This only happens for the first Create Receipt screen when there is a cross over from $360/week to $400/week (from PTD 15/03/2023 and Effective start date 16/03/2023).
