Feature Request: Automated Owner Invoice Overdue Notifications
Property Tree already offers strong automation for arrears, inspections and maintenance, but there’s a gap when it comes to ownership invoices.
I’d like to propose an automated workflow that triggers when an ownership invoice becomes overdue, with the ability to send a branded email reminder to the rental provider. This would be particularly useful for items like landlord insurance renewals, smoke alarm subscriptions, compliance services and other owner-funded invoices that require timely payment to avoid lapses in coverage.
The key elements that would make this feature valuable:
• Event trigger: Invoice becomes overdue (customisable timing such as 1, 7 or 14 days overdue).
• Filters: Ability to target specific invoice categories or keywords such as “insurance” or “compliance”.
• Templates: Option to attach an owner email template and merge fields for invoice details.
• Recipient options: Owner only, agency accounts, or both.
• Activation: Rule can be enabled or disabled per office.
This would reduce manual follow-up, minimise risk for rental providers, improve compliance outcomes and strengthen record-keeping. It also brings overdue owner invoices in line with the level of automation already available in other parts of the system.
This would save significant time for property managers and ensure important services like insurance don’t lapse due to missed payments.
