Customisable 4th Guest Group
Having a 4th guest option for sign in beyond Visitor, Contractor or Employee - this group should be customisable & can be set up to receive visitors or be pre-registered, or pre-register visitors or have a profile.
There should also be the ability to have a separate sign in workflow for this group
This would allow for the option of a Student user group, or Tenant user group, or Patient user group, or Members as at gym club, Volunteers, etc that are different to the traditional Guest types

UserVoice Client request update: We are pleased to announce today ( 16 July 2024) that this request has largely been fulfilled via the Phase 1 release of the new Communities feature. This allows you to create new Communities (Groups) and manage their presence. Phase 2, due for release late Q3 (early Q4), will see the new Community (Group) be able to host a visitor You can learn more here: https://helpdesk.whosonlocation.com/hc/en-us/articles/27956374224793-Introduction-Community-management

This has come up for me twice today where I think a "communities" 4th option would solve this or even the ability to;
1/. turn off the "organisation from" for visitors at kiosk level and not location level
2/. Customise the the "organisation from" to your own words ie. Enter your postcode or suburb"? Something unique so you can still utilise the feature to remember visitors -
Hi Aaron, nice idea. We believe we will be addressing the idea of 'categories' of visitors with our proposed 'Communities' feature. The Communities idea is open for further feedback and votes and I will merge your idea submission into that post.

Great idea Kathy. The idea of 'Communities' is something we have looked at introducing to the OnLocation platform allowing you to do exactly what you described; create 4th, 5th etc.. communities that are not fitting into the three defaults (Visitor, Contractor, Employee). I will highlight this to the team at our next UserVoice review. For now I will leave this open for votes and further comment.

Being able to add Sub Categories for Visitors if there are multiple types of people you would like to track within the system. Using sub categories such as Students and Volunteers with reporting breakdowns. We currently have a customer requesting this feature as they have classrooms and public exhibits within their facility.
