I definitely agree - the tenancy ID should always be listed as the reference. When tenants pay using the invoice number, you can't search this when receipting - so what's the point?

As the current Tenancy Ledger holds so much important information, we are scoping out a new rent arrears ledger option that will give you the information required in a clear simple format, making it easy to see/explain rental payments and arrears. This would be a massive improvement!! So often we have landlords ask this and we simply have to say no, sorry. An incremental withhold would be fantastic.
