  1. Adding the ability to have the email come 'from' the intended sender
    Sometimes you have to send an email on behalf of someone, but it comes from the person who types it. The ability to send it from the intended sender with BCC options would also be great!

    We're pleased to advise that you can now send an ad hoc email from another user. This information will be recorded against the communication so you can see who the email was sent from, and also who it was sent by.

  2. Currently you can only send automated comms from a User, Point of Contact or Company. However when you have 2x people working on one property, various comms should be sent from either user.
    There should be an ability in PT to send from business role in the agency.

    We're pleased to advise you can now configure both Automated Communications and Mail Merge templates to send from a business role. Business Roles can also be used to populate point of contact merge fields so you can ensure all communications are sent and/or signed off from the right person.

  3. How hard would it be to add more merge fields into the automated emails?

    I have asked this before but we would like an option to merge the BPay reference number into the tenancy invoice cover email; and

    Our lease expiry emails outline the lease dates and the rent but there is no option for what payment period the rent is - it could be monthly, weekly or fortnightly. We have had clients complain about this and the only fix is leaving the rent completely out of the comms

    We're pleased to advise that both Rent Period and Rent Period New merge fields are available in the Lease Expiry Automated Communications (and Mail Merge Templates).

    Please note - the Tenancy ID merge field has been added to the Tenancy Invoice Templates in a previous release.


  4. Please add merge field "Tenancy Rent period" & "Rent Increase date" for Lease Expiry Tenancy & Ownership. This merge field is required when we send an automated lease renewal and rent increase email to tenants and ownership.

    We're pleased to advise that Rent Period and Rent Period New are now available merge fields in Mail Merge Templates and selected Automated Communications - Lease Expiry Tenancy; Lease Expiry Ownership and Scheduled Rent Change Tenancy.

  5. When replying to all in the communication tab, the email response does not go to the sender(not all recipients) just the people CC'd in the email. This only started happening when the Forward tab was included last week. Prior to that we could click on "reply-all" and everyone included in the original email was included in the response.

    If you have an active SMS Subscription in Australia, you can now receive SMS replies! You’ll find these in the Communication Platform. Check out the release notes for more information on this feature https://propertytree.elevio.help/en/articles/68976-release-notes

  8. It would be extremely helpful in tribunals or regarding any communication discrepancy to have this feature attached to emails sent so you can see whether the recipient has received and opened the email (also including a time and date stamp).

    We're pleased to advise that this feature has been released! You can now see the opened date/time for emails that are sent from Property Tree in the Communications History. This information will appear in the status details column, if you cannot see this column by default, use the three dots menu to select it to appear. Thanks for helping us make this happen.

  9. Multiple SMS for inspections and all communication. Would love to be able to write once for an SMS and send it to all renters at one time instead of having to do it multiple times.

  10. Would be helpful to have an out of office option for messages that are received out of hours. Especially when a tenant is requesting maintenance. We could then include emergency contact details to the email etc

    We're pleased to advise that the ability to configure an Automatic Reply for emails has been released. You'll find a new Auto icon in the Communication Platform with the ability to set an auto reply for your inbox, or the company inbox. Please note, the Portals will be going through some extensive development next year which will change the portal messaging behaviour.

  11. The new Communications Platform does not have a Forward ability and only has a reply option. Work around: If you reply to the email and replace the email address to the recipient required this will then work as a forward. Would be easier to just have a Forward option.

  12. It is necessary to have the Tenancy ID as a Merge Field in the Auto Comm template for Tenancy Invoices. Currently, the Tenancy ID only displays on an Invoice if ‘Tenancy Invoices’ is ticked in the Trust Configuration (screenshot below) however, that is not an option for clients using DEFT, because they do NOT want to share their Trust details with the tenants, but they still want their Tenants to receive the Tenancy ID (e.g. also for adhoc invoices etc)

  13. In the new email communications, red underlined spelling mistakes, by right clicking on a spelling mistake it now ask for a link to be added rather than the spelling correction showing up. Please fix this.

  14. We would love to be able to send bulk loads of SMS to selected profiles the same way we can do that with emails. At the moment we can send large volumes of emails in several different ways but the option for SMS isn't there.

  15. Be able to send another email by replying to your own email when you want to send another message related to the first but you can't because the owner/tenant hasn't replied to your original message yet so instead of continuing on the same thread you have to make a whole new email thread. And that can get messy and confusing.

    We're pleased to advise you can now forward the latest email as part of an email thread, allowing you to capture all of the related email conversations. This includes when you send an email and the contact has not yet replied - locate the email in the sent folder and select to forward.

  16. It would be helpful to have the portal messages in the same area as the communication platform. Checking and replying to messages in two different areas is confusing and time consuming

    We're pleased to announce that all emails sent to your Portal Contacts will be sent as emails, and those contacts can reply to your emails! No more having to login to the Portals to reply! If you are using the communication platform, then those replies will come into your Property Tree inbox. If you aren't using the Communications Platform, then those replies will go to your external email inbox. You will still be able to send a Portal message, as will your Portal contacts, however the amount of portal messages will decrease as the primary form of communication is now emails.

  17. Send message button leads to a format of number that iphone could not send out sms at all! Pls fix this problem, before updating works ok.

  18. When doing a bulk mail merge, whether email or letter, we want to be able to edit the text before it's sent. Currently it's really time consuming having to alter the template itself prior to the merge and then change the template back again. This is primarily to enter a breach date for arrears

  19. We want to be able to use the auto communications for lease expiry but there is no way to exclude tenants that are not having their lease renewed. Can this be an option so if we have been instructed not to renew the lease, we can suspend the lease expiry communications for that tenant

    We are happy to let you know that this suggestion has been released. When you have the Automated Communications turned on for Lease Expiry: Tenancy and/or Lease Expiry: Owner you will have the option to suspend notices from being sent for individual profiles. This is found in the Tenancy Profile under Lease & Rent > Notices.

  20. Ability to filter automated notices by Residential or Commercial tenancies to set specific communications to send to each tenancy type - ie, arrears, lease end
