Feature Request: Dynamic “Current Year” Date Filter for Triggers
Case number: 06337766.
Customer wanted to have the option for Trigger the option of "Current Year" as the date trigger option as they wouldn't need a calendar reminder to manually edit the Trigger to the next year.
Hi Jenny,
Could you please add more information to this request? What trigger actions/rules should it apply to?
Thanks
Karl

Hi Karl,
Sure thing and thank you for looking into it!
Please see below: Actually, we have a Jira Ticket for this: https://mripride.atlassian.net/browse/WOL-9339
But here it goes, let me know if you need further details, I can reach out to customer. The customer wants to automatically track how many times a contractor has visited within the current calendar year (from January 1st onward) and deny access if they exceed 6 visits without a valid Blue Card.
Right now, their system counts visits over the past 12 months instead, which doesn’t align with government guidelines. They are asking if there’s a way to either:
Reset the visit count at the start of each year or
Change the trigger to only count visits from January 1st of the current year
Workaround: manually updating the trigger each month (e.g., in May, count visits within the past 5 months, in June, within the past 6 months, etc.). However, this is not ideal.
Steps to Replicate:
Go to Triggers
Trigger Details > Contractor Signed In
Trigger Rules > Contractor - Number of Days Visited Location
Actual:
OL counts visits over the past 12 months instead of resetting at the start of the calendar year. There is no built-in option to track visits from January 1st onward to i.e March, requiring a manual update of the trigger each month as a workaround.
Expected:
To count contractor visits only within the current calendar year (from January 1st onward) and deny access if the contractor has visited more than 6 times i.e a invalid Blue Card. Could be like a Custom Range of Dates.
