have medical info stored on users profile for emergency situations
hope this message finds you well. I wanted to discuss an important feature enhancement for the OnLocation app that could significantly improve our office's emergency evacuation management. The idea is to provide a direct link to employees' Workday profiles and incorporate medical information, which can be crucial in ensuring the safety of individuals with specific needs during emergency evacuations.
Currently, our OnLocation app serves as a valuable tool for various aspects of office management, but there is room for improvement when it comes to emergency preparedness. By linking employees' profiles to their Workday accounts, we can access essential information, such as medical conditions or disabilities that may affect their ability to evacuate the office quickly and safely.
The proposed feature would allow employees to voluntarily provide information about any medical conditions or disabilities they may have, and whether they might require extra assistance during an emergency evacuation. This data would be securely stored and only accessible by authorized personnel tasked with emergency response, ensuring the utmost privacy and confidentiality.
Here's how it would work:
Employees can update their profiles on the OnLocation app to include medical information, if applicable.
During an emergency evacuation, designated personnel can access this information through the app to identify individuals with specific needs.
This quick access to critical information enables a more efficient response, as responders can provide tailored assistance to those who need it most.
This feature would enhance our ability to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees during emergencies and allow for more efficient allocation of resources in critical situations.
I would love to discuss this further and explore the technical and practical aspects of implementing this feature. Your input and insights would be invaluable in moving this idea forward.

Hi Ricky, we do support the ability to add 'custom fields' to an employees profile. And of course you could include medical records. However in order to mitigate manually copying data from Workday to their OnLocation profile an integration would be better. We do however believe on first assessment that providing a custom field that is a 'link' to their Workday profile is another solution.
Making this data visible only to those with the right permissions would be crucial. We will leave this up for further feedback and votes from our community.
