  1. Adding the ability to have the email come 'from' the intended sender
    Sometimes you have to send an email on behalf of someone, but it comes from the person who types it. The ability to send it from the intended sender with BCC options would also be great!

    We're pleased to advise that you can now send an ad hoc email from another user. This information will be recorded against the communication so you can see who the email was sent from, and also who it was sent by.

With regards to the new legislation taking effect from 01/05/2025, to ensure compliance is met, tenant's personal information (name, contact details, ID, inspection reports) are to be destroyed before 7 years. Given PT currently only archives tenants, will the option be made available to delete/destroy tenant information before 7 years & is there be an easy way for saved documents containing personal information to be easily destroyed/deleted before 7 years to ensure compliancy is met.

    We're pleased to advise that you can now Edit, Remove or Add contacts to Archived Tenancy Profiles. Choose to remove contact information or remove the contact entirely. You can also remove files from the documents tab on archived tenancies

  5. Updating existing tenancy via FLKitover any event driven fees are not currently setup to charge. Could you please setup an automatic charge for existing tenancy. As such, when we do renewal lease, Property Tree could trigger the renewal lease fee.

  6. How hard would it be to add more merge fields into the automated emails?

    I have asked this before but we would like an option to merge the BPay reference number into the tenancy invoice cover email; and

    Our lease expiry emails outline the lease dates and the rent but there is no option for what payment period the rent is - it could be monthly, weekly or fortnightly. We have had clients complain about this and the only fix is leaving the rent completely out of the comms

    We're pleased to advise that both Rent Period and Rent Period New merge fields are available in the Lease Expiry Automated Communications (and Mail Merge Templates).

    Please note - the Tenancy ID merge field has been added to the Tenancy Invoice Templates in a previous release.

  8. When replying to all in the communication tab, the email response does not go to the sender(not all recipients) just the people CC'd in the email. This only started happening when the Forward tab was included last week. Prior to that we could click on "reply-all" and everyone included in the original email was included in the response.

  9. Remove the "Manage your inspections here." hard-coded message from routine inspection emails so Tenants can't make changes to the set inspection time unless they contact the office.

  10. Please add merge field "Tenancy Rent period" & "Rent Increase date" for Lease Expiry Tenancy & Ownership. This merge field is required when we send an automated lease renewal and rent increase email to tenants and ownership.

    We're pleased to advise that Rent Period and Rent Period New are now available merge fields in Mail Merge Templates and selected Automated Communications - Lease Expiry Tenancy; Lease Expiry Ownership and Scheduled Rent Change Tenancy.

  11. All rent or outgoings to be adjusted using a method eg: 4% annually, rather than having to manually calculate the actual amount and set up multiple manual adjustments. This makes it impossible to reflect on how the rent has been increased over a period of time without having to manually calculate the difference, which is extremely time consuming.

  12. Recent changes in legislation now mean that Rent Reviews in QLD are linked to the Property and not the Tenancy. It would be helpful to all QLD users to have a Rent Review option under the Property Profile so that we have the correct information at hand without having to look back into archived Tenants etc.

    We're pleased to advise that a new "Property Last Rent Increase Date" merge field has been added to your Mail Merge Templates, alongside the ability to now merge the Last Rent Increase Date to your REI forms.

  13. Why do we have to keep logging in & adding an authenticator code every time you go into paying accounts, amending account details etc. If we are already logged in, why do we have to log in again just to confirm current bank account details or payments? Surely our login would know what we are authorised to do.

    We're pleased to advise that this was released in April. You will not longer be prompted to login again when making payments, you will only be prompted for the multifactor authentication step (whichever one you have set up). 

  14. Option to send a TENANT a statement showing outstanding rent and invoices.
    Currently PT only generates an Invoice .. at the bottom of the Invoice it reads
    Tenancy - Statement of Outstanding Items .. with a total outstanding $$$$.
    This does not include any outstanding rent which is misleading.

    There should be an option to include RENT. This would save time and provide consistency in the way information (request for funds) is sent to the tenant.

    We're pleased to advise that you can now produce a Tenancy Statement via the Tenancy Profile > Actions Menu > Print / Send Statement. This can be used to generate a Statement for all Invoices/Fees and/or Rent.

  15. To remove the ability of the renter to change the Routine inspection date in their comms via the portal. We are unable to use the automated reminders due to this. This would save us so much time as we are having to remind our renters of the inspection times. Thank you

    We're pleased to advise that you can now add the Tenancy ID as a merge field into your Automated Communications for Tenancy Invoice; Replace Tenancy Invoice; Rent Arrears and Invoice Arrears.

  17. It would be good when the inspection manager prints out the list of inspections to have any Notes on the list visible on the report. At the moment she has to go into each individual property and check notes one property at a time.

  19. Since adding the Task functionality, it is not easy to find a task against a property for Maintenance requests. Is there any likelihood of adding a Task Tab to the maintenance requests, so we don't have to go out of the Request details and into the Task Tab to find the task set? Also, a task set for maintenance doesn't appear on the task tab - you have to click the magnifying glass for it to appear - which is not the best when searching in a hurry.

    Also, I wasn't sure if this idea should be posted here or…

  20. I'm all for the new multiple security measures you've put in place, but I'm NOT down with being automatically logged out after 59 minutes of being inactive. I hop in & out of Property Tree at various times throughout the day, and often I'm out for more than an hour at a time. I want to ONLY have to log in to Property Tree ONCE in the morning, and then not have to keep re-logging in. It's annoying and frustrating ! It should keep you logged in until say 6pm at night for example.

    We're pleased to announce there is a new Company Security section within your Configuration > Trust & Company Details that allows you to set your automated logout time. This can be set for 1,2 or 3 hours - You will then be logged out of Property Tree if it is left idle for the time you have set.
