Regarding the Unsubscribe Link
We have a query with how people unsubscribe to receiving newsletters etc. from us.
We have noticed that when we send out newsletters, we seem to get quite a few people unsubscribing from bulk communications - some of whom we know didn't want to totally unsubscribe from information being sent.
Our boss receives copies of our emails/newsletters and had a look at the Unsubscribe button.
He thought it was quite confusing to have to 'untick' instead of 'ticking' what they want to unsubscribe to. We think that people sometimes only want to unsubscribe to a particular newsletter we send out and get confused and unsubscribe from everything.
Would it not be simpler to have "Manage Preferences" and give people the option to 'tick' what they want to unsubscribe to and not forcing them to unsubscribe to everything.
Just something to have a look at if possible.

The current unsubscribe process makes it too easy for contacts to opt out of all communication rather than just marketing emails. This creates issues when a contact later becomes an active buyer, seller or landlord. An agent may attempt to reply through Eagle only to discover the contact has been unsubscribed from email and SMS communications entirely, despite only wanting to stop receiving marketing material.
Suggested Improvement
* Separate marketing communications from operational communications.
* Allow contacts to unsubscribe from bulk email campaigns without affecting enquiry responses, transaction updates or one to one communication.
* Provide separate opt out settings for Email Marketing and SMS Marketing.
* Clearly display communication preferences within the contact record.This would reduce communication issues and provide contacts with greater control over the type of communication they receive.
