Thanks for your suggestion. We will open this up to votes and are planning a block of work on pre-authorizing contractors later this year.
In the mean-time, did you know you can create a custom questionnaire that allows contractors to upload certification details when they sign in at a kiosk? Thanks for the suggestion.
We will open this up for votes as it would be a significant change to the logic around how Contractors statuses work.
In the mean-time - if you use the 'Deny Access When - expires' setting for your induction courses then Contractors who arrive on site will not be able to sign in until then have completed the induction. That way you can set the status of any contractors who are ready to come on site to 'active' as soon as their profiles are complete and your are ready for them to begin work.

Wed don't have the ability to pre-register contractors, though we have the ability for pre-registering visitors. This functionality would be a valuable improvement as it would notify security of contractors coming to site p[rior to arrival. As a jewish school with heightened security levels we need to know everyone who is coming to site . As well as pre registering contractors, they need to be matched to their compliance documents. Currently, if contractors are pre-registered as a visitor, this is bypassed, defeating the purpose of having them inducted.
